Kearny Mesa Hyundai hosted their 5th Annual Share the love food truck event benefitting Meals On Wheels

SAN DIEGO – December 21, 2015 – Meals on Wheels Greater San Diego Inc and Kearny Mesa Hyundai hosted their 5th Annual Share the Love Food Truck Event. Kearny Mesa Hyundai held the food truck event onsite and invited their friends, neighbors and fellow patrons to enjoy the food from some of San Diego’s top food trucks.

The 5th Annual Share the Love Food Truck was purposed to help raise awareness about Meals on Wheels Greater San Diego, Inc and their cause: to provide some company for seniors living alone, to help homebound seniors receive healthy meals, many of whom are unable to provide meals for themselves. Kearny Mesa Hyundai encourages others and the community to donate their time, talent and presence to such a great cause.

The day was filled with music, great food and friendship. Attendees got to vote for the People’s Choice Award – this award called for the People’s Favorite Food Truck. Local celebrity radio personalities Ted Leitner, Brian Wilson, Shelly Dunn and Nick Hardwick judged for their favorite food truck and bestowed the “Judge’s Choice” award. Thank you to Currywurst Frankfurt, Devilicious, Nana’s Heavenly Dog, New Orleans Truck New York on Rye, Promiscuous Fork, Red Oven Pizza, Sweet Treats and Taco Picasso for gracing us with their delicious food.

Aaron Feldman commented, “We are happy Kearny Mesa Hyundai has been hosting this event for their 5th year in a row and we want to continue this charitable tradition for years to come.  The community participation we’ve received is profound and quite inspirational.”
